norma kamali's "catwalk becomes techwalk" debuts today

Designer Norma Kamali has partnered with ScanLife mobile technology to create a mannequin for the Fashion Center’s Sidewalk Catwalk event, a public art exhibit that showcases thirty mannequins along Broadway in New York City’s Fashion District this summer. Kamali's mannequin features bar codes which passersby can scan with their cell phones to download an app with more about the designer ,  the Norma Kamali Collection, videos, photos and press clippings. The event begins today on Broadway between 41st and 42nd streets in New York City.
