The latest Chanel short film features Elena Glurdjidze, a senior principal dancer with the English
National Ballet, wearing a custom tutu made of tulle
and more than 2,500 feathers. The costume took three seamstresses at
Chanel’s Lemarié atelier more than 100 hours to construct. According to WWD, Glurdjidze gave Karl Lagerfeld an unplanned performance of "The Dying Swan" when she dropped by the Chanel couture salon earlier this month for a final fitting. Lagerfeld filmed it and the
three-minute black and white video went live on
chanel.com Wednesday.
