barbie swaps sex for avant-garde style

Galeries Lafayette will unveil of a series of new designer looks for Barbie in Paris on Monday. Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Lacroix, Jean Paul Gaultier and Sonia Rykiel are among the 50 designers to have designed signature looks for the  event which also marks the celebration of Barbie's 50th year. Maison Martin Margiela's design featuring a flesh-tone face mask and bodysuit, black fishnets and wiggy coat is a standout. I like it! The show ends April 25 but will travel, according to Mattel. Brits new candies campaign

The pictures of Britney Spears' new campaign for Candies are out and yes, ladies and gentleman, they have been retouched.  As part of the ad campaign, US weekly will have a full-size poster in the April 15 edition of Us Weekly where Ms. Brit poses in a pink bathing suit and saucy black heels against a wall of pink cotton candy.  Nobody looks good under a media microscope -  I think she looks great, photoshop and all. big like Texas(Lash)

I switched from Lancome Definicils to Maybelline Great Lash as a recession concession and it did not work out. Great Lash, as it turns out, is not so great for me because it flakes and smudges throughout the day and leaves mascara spots on my towels and pillowcases even after I remove it. However, I did like that it was very, very black. Today, I picked up Cargo TexasLash and I think I may have found a new favorite. It is the deepest, inky black I have found in a mascara and it lengthens and adds volume. At Sephora

Agent Provocateur  has come out with a retro-inspired swimwear that combines pin-up girl sexyness and eighties elements like cutouts and mesh.
