the sartorialist shoots michael stipe

I adore Michael Stipe and I think he looks especially cool in this picture taken by Scott Schuman for The Sartorialist. I conducted a phone interview with Mr. Stipe years ago when he did an online chat with AOL. My job was to relay the questions of the online audience and then type his responses so everyone online could see them. Sadly,  all the questions were about his sexual preferences. He finally asked, " Will YOU just interview me?" And so I did and it was so much fun. He is very charming and sweet. The only negative was that he asked me who my favorite bands are and I drew a blank because I was so nervous. Maybe I'll get another shot someday. The Sartorialist
