I adore Michael Stipe and I think he looks especially cool in this picture taken by Scott Schuman for The Sartorialist. I conducted a phone interview with Mr. Stipe years ago when he did an online chat with AOL. My job was to relay the questions of the online audience and then type his responses so everyone online could see them. Sadly, all the questions were about his sexual preferences. He finally asked, " Will YOU just interview me?" And so I did and it was so much fun. He is very charming and sweet. The only negative was that he asked me who my favorite bands are and I drew a blank because I was so nervous. Maybe I'll get another shot someday. The Sartorialist
After a decade-long hiatus The Lemonheads are finally putting out a new CD! The album, Varshons, is a
collection of covers and Liv Tyler and Kate Moss sing back-up for two of the songs. This should be interesting! Update: The Lemonheads were active until 1997 and went on hiatus, but reformed with a new lineup in 2005 and released The Lemonheads in 2006.
I've never been a fan of Roberto Cavalli and his fur-trimmed collars, animal prints and florals. I had a fantastic time trying on many of his outrageous pieces at one of his stores in Italy a few years ago but there was nothing there I really wanted to wear outside the store. I came across a couple of amazing looks today and was shocked to learn they are from the designer fall 2009 collection. It appears Cavalli has moved away from his leopard and floral fare to grommets, studs, black-suede tank dresses
and scarves and thigh high boots. I loved this collection! Style.com
