I read once that there is no such thing as an original idea since we are all influenced by the same outside factors. It is when and how we execute on our ideas that makes them different. This makes sense. It is certainly evident on the runway and in PR as well. As a blogger and marketing person I am in the unique position of being on the giving and receiving end of a pitch. Here are a handful of strikingly similar style pitches I've received since Tuesday.
Steal that Style: Michelle Obama’s Inaugural Gown
Get Michelle Obama Inspired Dresses and Jewelry
Michelle Obama’s Inauguration Prep – What is her secret? Get the Look for Less!
Michelle Obama’s Capital Hill Style
Michelle Obama Sets The New Fashion Trend

First Lady Style by X.

Get Obama’s Stetson Hat! (ok, this one is a bit different)
Obama Mania! Style and Substance from X.
And those were just the style pitches -- there were many, many more. I liked one particular pitch by JuicyCampus: And the Winner is Barack Obama! According to College Poll. The pitch goes on to say that results show college kids may want to see Obama as President but they'd rather party with Sarah Palin.
Original, funny.
