Tasting Table New York reports there is reason to fall in love with Valentine's Day again. Local cheesemonger Anne Saxelby has teamed up with Roni-Sue's Chocolates, to marry cheese and chocolate resulting in sweet and savory bliss. The aptly named Sweet-and-Savory Heart Selection matches domestic cheese and inventive chocolate truffles for a combination that blows away traditional assorted-mystery-chocolates-in-a-heart-shaped-box fare.
Pairings include sheep's milk cheese with a truffle sweetened with port-soaked figs and caramel-flavored cheese from Wisconsin paired with truffles laced with espresso and cocoa nibs. YUM.
