On my way to a gallery opening last week I stumbled upon Shotwell, a new boutique off Union Square. The store features a well-edited mix of local designer clothes and accessories for men and women and great vintage finds. I picked up these cute vintage ankle boots for sixty bucks! I've been wearing them non-stop with skinny jeans and leggings.

madonna looks grassy (and) great

Madonna's is getting a bit of slack in the online world for the grassy number she wore to a Gucci and UNICEF benefit in New York City. I think she looks fantastic (especially love her hair and make-up)  and it is nice to see her taking risks again! wireimage.

I loved this recent Feministing post about feminist songs. What's your favorite? My vote is for The Ting Tings.  My five year old daughter sings around the house at the top of her lungs "Are you calling me darling? That's not my name! They call me HER - That's not my name! That's not my name!" The apple does not fall from the tree.
