on my radar: tunics and trousers

I love, love, love this look. It works at the office, with jeans, anywhere. My friend Anna, who handles alterations for downtown San Francisco stores Gucci, Prada and many more, told me the big trend now (when even the fashion frivolous are feeling the pinch)  is to work with pieces you already have in your closet and convert them into something current. She recently worked her magic on a couple of my many-seasons-ago DVF shift dresses and transformed them into tunics for fall. Very nice, very green and not at all expensive. Photo source: Style.com.
